Do you know your teaching and learning center? CUNY has 20 centers for teaching and learning (CTLs), each located at one of our colleges or programs. Centers for teaching and learning offer faculty opportunities to improve and experiment with teaching strategies, to learn different types of educational technologies, to share teaching challenges and successes, and much more.
CUNY’s CTL Directors meet as a council to share best practices in teaching and learning and to support faculty development activities across the university. Our current projects include the September 18 “Best Practices in Academic Technology” conference at Medgar Evers (led by CTLE Director Rosalina Díaz), faculty trainings to develop their own Open Educational Resources, and a newsletter of CTL activities and highlights (coming soon).
This coming year, CTL directors and their teams will be blogging about their activities as well as sharing teaching tips and best practices: stay tuned!
